Joshua Riley is the Policy Research Associate for Indigenous Women Rising. He is a proud member of the Pueblo of Laguna. He is a committed professional with a profound dedication to advancing justice and enhancing the socio-economic conditions of Native American communities. Joshua holds both an associate's degree and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from New Mexico State University, which has provided him with a solid academic foundation in the principles of law enforcement, legal systems, and justice administration. His educational background is complemented by extensive practical experience that enables him to address the unique and multifaceted challenges confronted by tribal nations across the United States. Joshua aims to work on eliminating barriers such as transportation, language, and financial constraints that prevent Native American women from accessing reproductive healthcare services through policy solutions and community-driven interventions. Additionally, he supports efforts that expand access to reproductive healthcare services for Native American women, including contraception, prenatal care, maternal health services, and abortion, with a focus on culturally competent care that respects Indigenous values and traditions.
