Is a mutual aid resource with infrastructure that encourages community reciprocity through sovereign birthing practices that supports diversity within Indigenous communities.
Our logo is intentional to us and can have various meanings that we chose to keep for ourselves to remind us of the work we do for the people.
One I would love to share is
Just like the three sisters method in agriculture where the beans, corn, and squash all work together to benefit each other. IWR is striving to create our own ecosystem that supports Reproductive sovereignty(maybe a link to another page that gives more information) Birth is one aspect in reproduction, though it is very important by itself it can be a lot stronger to the community when viewed as a support.
Emergence Fund
Midwives and doulas are traditional.
The time is now- too often, Indigenous people are not provided adequate, quality, or culturally sensitive care in a hospital setting. We know midwives and doulas provide quality care but can be out of reach for many of our relatives, and we are able to help pregnant Indigenous people pay for their midwifery care while also helping sustain providers.

Our Emergence Fund is open to all Native and Indigenous people in the United States who are pregnant and seeking funding for the following to support their pregnancy or birth journey: midwifery or doula services, breast/chest feeding support, supplies for your growing family, placenta encapsulation, herbal support or traditional medicine.
